What sets this market apart from every other one is not in its run dates.
The organiser says it plainly: some stalls take cash, others card payment only. Arrive with a fifty-franc note for mulled wine and presents and you may be standing at the wrong stall. As a way round it, the organiser recommends the Zürich Geschenkkarte gift card, available at the information stand for cash or card.
The place explains the rest. The Münsterhof lies between the Fraumünster and the historic guild houses, and the market deliberately focuses on local shops, Zurich brands and high-quality products. It is not a market with the same old range, but one that wants to sell Zurich.
