Once a year the Frauenbad at Stadthausquai opens in winter: 400 places, starts in groups of 20 across the Limmat, barley soup at the finish.
Good to know- Course of 111 or 125 metres, from Pier 7 (Limmatquai 7) to the Frauenbad at Stadthausquai. Water 6–10 °C depending on the weather.
- Advance sale from Monday 30 November 2026 at 5 pm. 180 charity tickets (start from 1.05 pm) and 220 standard tickets (from about 1.45 pm); auction tickets start at 1 pm.
- Spectator ticket CHF 13 including ZVV travel and punch. Clothes are taken to the other bank — bring your own bag.
- In 2025, 365 people swam in 8.4 °C water in constant rain — the official tickets sold out on the evening sales opened.
