Candle dipping Lenzburg: the only place where adults cast lanterns
Almost everywhere, candle dipping is the same offering for the same audience: children, an afternoon, a wick in wax. Lenzburg has something alongside it that exists nowhere else in the survey — adults casting wax lanterns in the evening. You just have to ask for it.

The only place in the survey where adults can cast wax lanterns in the evening instead of dipping candles — in addition to the classic offering.
- Public opening only on Wednesday afternoons and at weekends — seven published dates.
- ⛔ The adult evenings (Thursday/Friday, wax-lantern casting and candle dipping) are «in the calendar» according to the organiser and carry no dates on the offering page. We therefore list only the published public afternoons.
- Besides school classes, clubs, teams and groups can also book the offering.

🔎 What sets this candle-dipping session apart
Alongside classic dipping, the association offers something that is a one-off in our entire survey: wax-lantern casting for adults in the evening. Other places have adult evenings — but there people do the same thing as during the day, without children. Here it is a different craft.
And it is precisely that offering that is hardest to find. The association writes that the dates are «in the calendar» — on the offering page they carry no dates. So above we list only the seven published public afternoons. Writing down a date that appears nowhere would be guessing, and guessing about an evening means somebody stands in front of an unlit door.
The third point is the structure: 15 calendar days but only seven open days. Two full weekends fall between the first Wednesday and the last — read the run and plan a Tuesday and you find it closed. The Kafi Tomm is open on every public date and turns dipping into an afternoon rather than a stop.

🎯 How to plan the visit without arriving at a cold wax pot
Lenzburg is a parents' association offering with a clear structure. Three points before visiting.
- 1Wednesday afternoon and weekends onlySeven published public dates across a good two weeks. Wednesdays 2pm to 5pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 5pm — closed in between.
- 2Adult evenings: ask beforehandLantern casting and dipping for adults happen on Thursdays and Fridays according to the association, but are not published with dates. If you want that, contact the parents' association.
- 3Groups are explicitly welcomeNot only school classes: the association also names clubs, teams and groups. For a company outing in Advent it is one of the few addresses in the canton of Aargau.
🗺️ Where this session sits in the season
In the canton of Aargau the ConvivaPlus candle-dipping survey records 3 sessions. Lenzburg sits in the middle in timing: the Baden yurt opens two days earlier, while the Aarau session in the market hall carries on into mid-December.
Nationally the densest day of the season is 29 November 2026, with 17 sessions running at once; the season spans 2 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. That figure comes from the ConvivaPlus analysis and appears in no organiser's publication: it can only be calculated if both the start AND the end are documented for every location — we read both at the source and then count, for each calendar day, how many sessions are running at once.

For families in the Seetal this is the obvious session, and for anyone wanting something other than dipping, the most interesting in the canton. That clubs and teams are explicitly invited makes it a rare address for a group Advent outing too.
What is missing is findability. Seven dates across two weeks and an undated evening offering demand a look at the association's site or a phone call. Anyone wanting reliability without asking will find it at the Baden yurt, which is open daily.
Freshness note: The adult evenings exist according to the organiser but are not published with dates — so we do not list them as an appointment. The seven public afternoons were read on 8 September 2026 directly from the association.

Da muss man nachfragen.
