💜 Crocus bloom at Rämisgummen: the purple wonder
When: Late March to early April (2-3 week window). Current status at eggiwil.ch.
Getting there: Bus to Eggiwil, then hike toward Rämisgummenhoger. Crocuses also bloom at the Hahnenmoospass and Schynige Platte — but nowhere as spectacularly as here. Important: Crocuses are protected — picking them is strictly forbidden!
🌼 Narcissus fields near Montreux: white above Lake Geneva
Getting there: MOB train from Montreux to Les Avants — the Montreux–Les Avants–Caux route already offers spectacular lake views. The marked trail winds through meadows and forest with grand views of Lake Geneva. Duration: approx. 1.5-2 hours.

Important: Do not pick, do not walk on the fields, dogs on leads. Narcissus are protected.
💧 Waterfalls in spring: snowmelt spectacle
Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen: Europe's largest waterfall, snowmelt doubles the flow compared to winter, exceeding 300,000 litres per second. Entry CHF 5, children CHF 3. The boat ride to the central rock (CHF 5 extra) is worth every franc — you will get wet.
Staubbachfall in Lauterbrunnen: At 300 metres of free fall, one of Europe's highest waterfalls — most powerful in spring when glacier snow melts. Free access from the village.
Trümmelbachfälle Lauterbrunnen: 10 underground waterfalls fed by snowmelt from the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. 20,000 litres per second. Opens in April. Entry CHF 15.
Giessbach Falls on Lake Brienz: 14 cascading steps over 500 metres of elevation. Free access on foot. The historic paddle steamer from Brienz adds a magical approach (CHF 5).

Apple Trail Altnau (TG): Three combinable paths through orchards on Lake Constance. Information boards with tasks for children. Free. Main paths are pram-friendly.
Crocus at Rämisgummen: Also doable for children from age 6 (easy hike). The purple carpet amazes every age group.
Tierpark Bern (Dählhölzli): Most baby animals are born in spring. Entry: CHF 10, children under 6 free. The Bear Park next door is completely free — with a great adventure playground.

NESpectacular gorge between Noiraigue and Boudry. Thundering in spring. Free. Combinable with Creux du Van.
Champ-Pittet (VD)
VDPro Natura centre on Lake Neuchatel. In spring, rare birds nest here. Entry: CHF 8.
Taminaschlucht Bad Ragaz (SG)
SGNarrow rock crevice with hot thermal spring (36.5°C). Opens in April. Entry: CHF 5. Then head to the Tamina Therme (from CHF 28).
Lavaux Vineyard Terraces (VD)
VDUNESCO World Heritage. In spring, the vines sprout facing Lake Geneva. Free.
Val Bavona (TI)

Gestern Giessbachfall gemacht. Allein der Raddampfer von Brienz rüber lohnt sich schon (CHF 5 pro Person, Kids gratis mit Junior-Karte). Und dann Wasserfall + Grandhotel-Terrasse obendrauf 🇨🇭
Narzissen oberhalb Montreux letztes Jahr im Mai gesehen. Einfach nur wow, alles weiss. Tipp: Zug nehmen, nicht Auto. Ab Les Avants ca 45min laufen. Picknick einpacken nicht vergessen
Chrieseweg in Zug letztes Jahr gemacht, einfach mega. Aber 19 km sind happig, das unterschätzt man. In Walchwil beim Bäcker gibts übrigens geilen Kirschkuchen 👌
Rämisgummen kannte ich gar nicht. Ist das auch mit Kinderwagen machbar oder eher nix?
Leider nein, das ist ein Bergpfad. Aber die Krokusblüte bei Eggiwil im Emmental geht auch mit Buggy, ab Parkplatz Richtung Napf sind die ersten 2 km breit genug.
